Acl Reconstruction

ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) is a rope like structure, which connects the thighbone and leg bone and keeps both the bones together while walking and running. The ACL gets injured in sporting activities and bike accidents. Patients with ACL injury have instability of knee joint and feel weakness in their knees while walking. They are unable to run or indulge in any kind of dancing or sporting activities. Knees with ACL injury degenerate quickly and require knee replacement very soon. Dr Rohit Lal performs ACL reconstruction through a keyhole using patients single thigh tendon. The patients are discharged from the hospital the same day of surgery. His patients get back to sports training within a month and return to professional sports in nine months.
